AVERI
AVERI is a Copenhagen-based duo that shares a great passion and interest in exploring the world of female composers from the Baroque and Classical era. The question they asked themselves is why this music was so rarely performed in our times and why the female composers have not been more often included in the programs of today. The music by Isabella Leonarda, Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, Anna Bon di Venezia, Wilhelmine von Beyreuth and Marieta Morosina Priuli (just mentioning a few) clearly has an immense quality and beauty that should be shared much more often with the modern audience.
AVERI was invited to play at the Danish festival Rudersdals Sommerkoncerter in 2021. They performed a program with the title "Barokkens kvinder "(the Women of baroque) featuring female composers from early to late baroque.
